| Hey, I read your article on "Is a Chicano the same thing as a Mexican?" or something like that. It was really helpful, thanks. I would have gone around calling people "spanish" forever, though I know that's wrong. I think I'm going to continue not mentioning people's ethnic background at all, though, unless it's significant. It is true though, that when someone leaves their community and finds somewhere else to live they are then meztizo, una mixta. As a Chicano who is rediscovering his own roots, I am proud to see more resources available to us to learn more about our sacred calendar, religion, and history. People do not seem to realize that the Mexica Nation and the Azteca Nation in general still exists. It exists in places in Mexico that the ignorant refute. It exists in the places that the uneducated haven't learned about yet. It exists within us who wish to seek it, the heart of the people. Si ud puede ayudar por favor comuniquese Gracias de antemano. connie <almademexico_at_msn.com> los angeles, ca USA - Sunday, August 15, 2004 at 09:05:52 4.233.23.119 - dialup-4.233.23.119.dial1.losangeles1.level3.net 419 bella419 <bella_at_419.com> 419lome, 419 USA - Thursday, August 12, 2004 at 21:27:28 80.248.64.50 - cache.cafe.tg Here is today's comment, I hope I find someone who shares this toughts I grew up in Mexico, today I am a naturalized us citizen, every day 3 persons die trying to cross the border trought the desert, this is real people, let's do something about it, the border patrol has minimal guilt in this let's put the blame of this deaths in the mexican" government who pushes its own people to its own death and does nothing to stop it, in the meantime the rich class in mexico enjoys the benefits of the money trough taxes and bribes we the true mexicans sent. any comments on the subject are apprecciated on this great website. roberto <rius011969_at_yahoo.com> san diego, ca USA - Thursday, August 12, 2004 at 07:46:00 204.96.196.130 - Muchas veces pienso que somos pocos los que nos sentimos orgullosos de nuestra sangre, me da tanto gusto ver que no es asi.
